Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body, causing a host of debilitating symptoms.
To help deal with this disease, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society provides a wide range of highly skilled, compassionate profession resources and support for individuals with MS and their families, including:
Attorneys and staff at Hurtado Zimmerman SC have raised funds for the MS Society for many years by participating in the Annual Lakefront Walk MS activities in Milwaukee, WI. This fundraising walk brings together passionate people in communities nationwide to raise funds to change the world for everyone affected by multiple sclerosis. With nearly 300,000 people fundraising and volunteering each year, Walk MS has generated more than $1 billion toward its mission to end MS forever.
Our firm is honored to participate with Team Summit, which has cumulatively raised well over $112,000 for Walk MS, one of the most successful individual MS walk teams in Wisconsin. By walking, raising funds and awareness, we have changed the lives of people with MS, helping fuel progress toward improved medical treatments and an ultimate goal of a world free of MS.
MS is different for everyone, cognitively and physically disabling, and that makes it all the more challenging to solve. This annual Walk continues to make a difference in fighting a disease without a cure. It works. The money raised drives groundbreaking research, provides life-changing programs and guarantees a supportive community for those who need it most.
We walk until there is a cure! Team Summit appreciates your generous support as we participate again this year in the MS Walk and fight against this insidious disease.
